Chute Feeders

Product Overview

Chute feeder is a kind of feeding equipment which is used to transport lumpy materials evenly from storage warehouse to receiving device. This equipment is widely used in metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, construction, mineral processing, coal and other industrial sectors, especially for coarse-grained materials (such as raw ore) to a section of the crushing equipment feeding operation.

The width of the trough of the chute feeder is usually 2-2.5 times of the maximum particle size of the feed material. Large-scale chute feeder can handle iron ore with particle size less than 500mm. The most commonly used specification is 980*1240 chute feeder, whose feeding size is 350-0mm, which perfectly matches the feeding demand of 400*600 jaw crusher.

Chute Feeder Equipment Maintenance

Bearing Maintenance

Bearings bear all the load of the equipment, good lubrication is vital to the bearing life, which directly affects the service life and operation rate of the equipment. The lubricant injected must be clean and the seal must be good. The main oil injection parts include:

  • Rotating bearings

  • Roller bearings

  • All gears

  • Movable bearings and sliding surfaces

Daily Inspection

  1. Newly mounted hoops are prone to loosening and must be inspected frequently.

  2. Observe whether the working condition of each part of the machine is normal or not.

  3. Regularly check the degree of wear of wearable parts and replace worn parts in time.

  4. Remove the dust and other debris on the plane of the movable device base frame to prevent equipment failure due to foreign object jamming.

  5. When the bearing oil temperature rises abnormally, stop the machine immediately for inspection and troubleshooting.

  6. Stop the car immediately to check and eliminate the abnormality when there is impact sound of rotating gears during operation.

Installation and test run

Installation requirements

  1. The equipment should be installed on a horizontal concrete foundation and firmly fixed with ground bolts.

  2. Pay attention to the verticality of the main body and the horizontal plane during installation.

  3. After the installation is completed, check whether the bolts of each part are loose and whether the main machine warehouse door is tightened, and tighten them if necessary.

  4. Configure suitable power lines and control switches according to the power requirements of the equipment.

Test run

After checking, carry out no-load test run, and put into production and use if the test run is normal.
